Mr. Robinson

  • I am very excited to be working with your child this year and would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Steve Robinson. I joined the Millburn staff in 2005 and have taught grades 4, 5, and 8 (Algebra I) at Millburn. Before coming to Millburn, I taught grade 8 (Algebra I, Plane & Solid Geometry Honors) for one year at Deer Path Middle School in Lake Forest.

    I have a B.S. in Computer Science Engineering from Northwestern University and a M.A.T. in Elementary Education (with specific endorsements in middle school math, computer science, and physical science) from National-Louis University. Prior to going back to school to become a teacher, I worked in the wireless telecommunication infrastructure industry in a variety of roles, including: software engineer, technical customer support, project manager, product manager, and sales. I also teach an evening math class at the College of Lake County.

    I have two kids. My daughter, Katie, attends Clemson University in South Carolina, and my son, Michael, goes to Warren High School. Outside of school, I play trumpet in the Concert Band at the College of Lake County. I enjoy riding my bike, kayaking, taking nature pictures, and reading.

    I am committed to treating every student as an individual, in a learning environment that is safe for all students to go beyond their own comfort zone as we together explore the world.
