My name is Renee Marasco and I am one of the reading specialists here at Millburn Elementary School. I have been a teacher in the Millburn school district for 15 years. In the past, I was both a 3rd and 4th grade classroom teacher. After receiving my masters degree in reading with a reading specialist endorsement, I became a reading resource teacher at Millburn West and then moved to Millburn Elementary a few years ago to become a reading and math resource teacher. I enjoy finding ways to make reading fun for kids, and love seeing their faces light up when they realize that they are reading on their own! In addition, I enjoy showing kids strategies for figuring out those scary math problems. I am very excited to work with students in grades K-5!
On a personal note, I live in Lake Villa with my husband and two young children (ages 3 and 5). Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my kids, traveling, playing sand volleyball during the summer, watching Bears football in the winter, and spending time with my family and friends all year long.
