Sight words are words that we want kids to learn and have memorized.  Many of these words do not follow phonetic rules and will need to be learned by sight.  They occur frequently in written language.  
    We hope to have all students reading these words at the end of the year.  The more words that the kids can also write correctly the  more prepared they will be for first grade.
