  • Welcome to my website.
On the side column, you can find assignments listed, resources (notes or other handouts,) and other interesting/useful sections.

    7th Grade Teacher Websites:

Ch 20 Open Notes Test will be passed back on 4/10 and 4/11. If you would like to make corrections, please write the correct answer and the page in the book where the correct answer can be found on a separate sheet of paper. Then, attach that paper to your test when you turn in the corrections. Corrections will be due by 4/18 and 4/19.

    A few notes:
I grade on a straight point system. This means doing well on your homework and turning it in on time is just as important as passing your tests. When homework is passed back, a number with a circle around it, or a star means that the assignment earned a 100%. Other grades will be marked with the number correct over the total number of points possible. To find the percent, simply divide the top number by the bottom number and multiply by 100. For example, if a student receives 35 out of 40 on an assignment, the percent grade is 87.5%, or 88%.

I expect 7th grade students to follow basic conventions in terms of grammar and sentence structure. This means all proper nouns are capitalized, there is proper subject/verb agreement, capital letters begin each sentence, and proper punctuation ends each sentence. I expect homework to be in complete sentences that restate the question in the answer. For example, if the question reads, "For whom was Louisiana named?" I expect the answer to read, "Louisiana was named in honor of French King, Louis XIV." and not, "It was named for King Louis." I reserve the right to deduct points on any assignment or refuse to grade any assignment until it is revised if it does not follow the rules listed.

It is expected that each student fill in their assignment notebook daily. However, should a student forget to write it down, was absent, or if a parent would like to check for upcoming events, homework will be noted under the Social Studies assignments tab. Copies of notes and Study Guides will be under the Resources tab.

At the top of the page is a little envelope. If you click it, you can email me. It is my preference to get emails because I usually can respond much more quickly to an email.
